have always been a person who is curious and thirsty for knowledge, and the area I love to explore most is our being; our bodies and our minds. I like to define myself as an explorer of the mind and the senses, of our sensations and emotions, of our interpersonal dynamics and responses. I am fascinated by the perfect machine that is our body and intrigued by the mental mechanisms that are triggered in certain situations. With this curiosity and desire to explore, I was drawn towards the BDSM scene, where I have become familiar with the world of ropes (Shibari). For three years, I let myself be tied up, exploring and crossing boundaries that were hidden within myself. Then, one day, whilst I was trying to tie a few knots, through the artistic expression of women sublimated into human poetry, I experienced a sudden inner peace of the soul and senses. The love, passion, and care that I put into bindings soon led me towards many friends and women who are “crazy about tying” (as I ironically like to call them), who have honoured me with an unconditional trust for which I feel a duty and responsibility.
From these bindings come powerful bonds, formed by gestures, looks, emotions, and sensations, captured and shared in a universal language finally free from the entanglement of words. And so, from this comes the powerful magic of ropes, a 360-degree experience of immersion into the depths of the ego, aimed at liberation, at an unblocking, at catharsis. It is a ritual; a theatrical act to which each person submits for the most varied and personal of reasons. This is how VAGA-BONDAGE was born – a work in progress which combines the sacredness of ropes with my greatest passion of all: travelling.
